Scripture Motivation

The Bible is our motivation for doing what we do. Here are some Scriptures behind our ministry philosophy.

Matthew 28:18-20 – And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Jesus commanded His disciples to make more disciples, which includes teaching them to observe all that He commanded. Part of discipleship includes teaching and equipping other disciples in the Bible’s teachings.

2 Timothy 1:5 – I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.

Timothy’s mother Eunice (and grandmother Lois) taught him the faith growing up. Women need to be equipped to understand the Scriptures to teach their children and other women the truths of God’s Word.

Titus 2:3-5 – Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Older women are commanded to teach what is good to the young women and train them. The Bible itself tells us in many places (such as Psalm 19 and Psalm 119) that it is good. So women are to be teaching other women the Bible.
